The term “lampworking” dates back centuries before the development of modern gas torches when oil lamps were used to heat small quantities of glass to form them into beads or novelty items. Today the more common term is “flameworking” or “torchwork”. I’m currently using a Lynx Torch by GTT (Glass Torch Technologies), a triple surface mix using propane and oxygen produced by an oxygen generator. I’m primarily using glass imported glass by Effetre (Moretti), Vetrofond (Murano), Lauscha and manufactured glass by Bullseye.
