As my involvement in lampworking grew, jewelry design seemed to be the next obvious progression. Finished glass beads seem to take on a life of their own dictating their own style, color schemes and components to compliment them. Many of my customers purchase beads with their own vision of how to incorporate them in their jewelry designs. Still others don’t have the time to make their own jewelry which is why their interest is in finished jewelry. So, as much as I’m able, I try to fill each customer’s needs. I find working with jewelry fun, creative and satisfying with one minor problem … giving equal time to each of my glass interests.
